On Monday, 8 April 2024, Hon. Rasaq Ajala's annual Ramadan lecture which different Islamic guest lecturers delivered lectures every day of the 30 days fasting period at the Chairman's family house at Imoru Street, took a new turn as the host, the Chairman of Odiolowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Rasaq Olushola Ajala hosted over 2000 youngsters of Mushin living in Ghetto area to inspire them to think and dream beyond their environment without letting the vices around them determine who become in life.

As the tradition of the Ramadan lecture, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Organization who were the guests of the day lecture held their lecture with a topic centre around patience and perseverance, after the lecture, the Council Chairman along with some successful individuals who had their growing in Mushin and become successful took the centre stage to deliver great inspiration and success tips to the young Mushines. 

The Chairman addressing the people, stated that the idea of organizing the program for the children was to mentor them and let them know that they can do well in their chosen careers or businesses irrespective of where they come from.

"Various people who were born and raised in Mushin are here today to counsel you on how to better your lives in your chosen careers or businesses in the future. 
"The reason we are organizing this program is to let you know that the environment you come from must not be a yardstick for your failure in life. 

"I have invited here today, Lawyers, Doctors, and Engineers who were born and raised in Mushin and are successful in their chosen careers to come and address you on how you can make it in life irrespective of the place you were born or raised," The Chairman said.

He added, "It is worrisome that our society is awash with all kinds of vices which are supported by some parents. 
"A society where we now have the Association of Yahoo Mothers should be a source of concern to us. 

"I am optimistic that after listening to some of our speakers today, you would be convinced that you can make it in life irrespective of where you were born or raised, " he concluded. 

Various speakers like Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, Director General (ARCORN), Barr Yahya Ismail, a successful lawyer, Dr. Hamzat Bakri, a medical Doctor, Dr. AbdulWasiu Moshood, head of department, Political Science at Lagos State University, Dr Bolanle Adelakun, a Medical Doctor and Engineer Aminu took their turn to inspire the children on how they can become successful in their chosen careers.

All the speakers made the children know that they must have a sound education in whatever careers they choose for themselves in life and to be focused not to let peer pressures and negative vices affect them negatively.

Earlier, Alhaja Muhibat Omokehinde Ajala, the wife of the Chairman and the Chairperson of Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA reminded the children of the importance of being good children and well-behaved.
Encouraged them to imbibe the virtues in society and avoid the vices that could ruin their lives.

Present at the event was the Vice Chairman Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA Hon Seyi Jakande, Secretary to the LCDA Hon Mujeeb Ayinde Daramola, the All Progressive Congress party Chairman in Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA Hon Ismail Babatunde Kazeem, Councilors, Supervisors,  Special Advisers to the Chairman and the All Progressive Congress party leaders.

The Council's Manager Mrs Afolake Otenaike, the Council's Treasurer Mr Rufai Mujitaba Karohunwi, and heads of departments of Odiolowo Ojuwoye LCDA.
