Hon. Rasaq Ajala, the Chairman of Odi-olowo Ojuwoye LCDA was honoured for his outstanding and brilliant performance since he assumed office as the Chairman of the LCDA by Odi-olowo Ojuwoye Community Development Committee (CDC) members. The Award of Honour was presented during the inauguration of the CDC new executive members at the Council hall.

At the inauguration, the Chairman made it known in his speech that  the committees are saddled with various responsibilities among which are communication and engagement with the people of the community, to represent them and increase collaboration with security agents, also to supervise and create social amenities in the community.

"In a democratic rule, one of the major roles you have to play is to represent your people. Don't just discuss the interest of a specific set of people at meetings, your efforts have to be all-inclusive, don't forget that you have a civic responsibility and you are for the people." Said the Chairman.

One of the ex-officio of the CDC, Elder Adekoya Adebowale thanked all the people he had worked with from the Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Ajala and other members, and expressed that it was a great task for him but thanked God that he delivered during his term and wish the inaugurated chairman who is serving his second tenure a successful term.

The inaugurated Chairman Alhaji Ganiyu Adebisi said it consider it a great privilege to begin his second tenure as the Chairman of the CDC and expressed profound gratitude to the members of the community for entrusting the leadership of the CDC to him and colleagues.

He added, " The mission of the CDC is to focus on protecting and advancing the community common interest by collaborating with various stakeholders in the community."

"The CDC has created positive impart on protecting and advancing the interest of the community and recorded appreciable progress in the transformation of the Community Development Associations (CDA), before the creation of Odi-olowo Ojuwoye LCDA out of Mushin Local Government in 2003, we had only Nineteen (19) CDAs in constituency 1 and today, am happy to announce to you that we have effectively functional 32 CDAs through the help of the Execitive Chairman of the Council and the Community Development Association department."



Also, other community leaders and members along with members of the CDC were given Award of Honour, while the certificate of office given to the CDC executive members.
