The faceoff between the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the State House of Assembly over cabinet members' nominees sent to the Legislative Chamber for screening has been resolved as the Governor sent a second list of commissioner-nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The Speaker of the House, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, announced the receipt of the nominees list at the plenary today Monday, 4 September, 2023.

In the new list, Dr. Iyabode Oyeyemi Ayoola who was recently appointed a non-cabinet member as Special Assistant on the Internal Audit Unit of the State Ministry of Finance where she retired as a civil servant before playing active politics at the grassroots in Mushin LGA and Odiolowo Ojuwoye LCDA was among the newly nominees to be screened and confirmed by the House Committee.

The new nominees, which consist of 18 names include: Dr Afolabi Tajudeen, Mr Oluwaseun Osiyemi, Prof. Akinola Abayomi, Engr Olalere Odusote, Dr Oluwarotimi Wahab-Fashola, Mrs Folashade Ambrose-Medem, Mr Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, Mr Samuel Egube, and Hon. Tolani Akibu.

Others are Mrs Bolaji Dada, Mrs Barakat Bakare, Mr Olugbenga Omotoso, Mr Mosopefolu George, Mr Yekini Agbaje, Dr Olumide Oluyinka, Mr Abayomi Oluyomi and Hon. Sola Giwa.

Reacting to the nomination, Dr. Ayoola expressed great appreciation to God and her political leader, Distinguished Senator Ganiu Olarewaju Solomon, the APC apex political leader in Mushin and Odiolowo Ojuwoye for the support and nomination. 

"Thank you God for the nomination, to my leader, Distinguished Senator Ganiu Olarewaju Solomon, I appreciate your support, sir and pray that God should continue to keep you alive in good health and everyone who has made this possible, Thank you! Thank you!!." she said.

She promised not to disappoint the people of Mushin and Odiolowo Ojuwoye and the leaders who have put her forward.
