The Mushin and Odiolowo Ojuwoye APC Apex leader and Governor's Advisory Council (GAC) member of Lagos State, Distinguished Senator Ganiu Olarewaju Solomon, has commended the Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye for his second giant palliative food distribution to the people of Mushin as the global economic meltdown hit on.

Speaking at the three-in-one program which about 2000 residents each received a giant food package comprising 10 kg of Rice, Semo, Garri,  and Beans 5kg each, about 300 residents got #25,000 each and the presentation of a brand new computer system to the National Identification Management Commission office in Mushin to make the process of registering for NIN faster and easier.

The Senator said this is commendable and we have to appreciate the chairman for making this a continuous exercise.

"We have to commend the Chairman and his team for putting this together because, in a time like this, people have to be given palliative as we are not equal even before God and man, so the government has to continue to give relief through palliative to the people that need it.

"As the President has promised us that things will soon be better, is just a matter of time. and before things become normal, palliatives like this have to be going on to ameliorate the situation." Senator GOS said.

He added, "I hope the people are aware of the ongoing road construction and other laudable projects by the Chairman and I want to appeal to those people whose areas have not been touched to relax, I promised you they will come there.

He made the people know that Mushin and Odiolowo Ojuwoye have over 800 Street roads and many of these roads have been done as construction is ongoing because it has to be done one after the other, before you know it, all the roads will be done and Mushin people will be proud of their government, as no government can do all his projects at once, it is one by one.

The Council Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye addressing the pressmen said many of the projects the local government has been able to carry out were as a result of more funds being given to the local government by the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and it is his duty as Chairman to spend it wisely for the development of the people and community.

"These were made possible by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu for allocating more funds to the local government, I want to thank them for giving the local government what belongs to them so that we can perform, thank you Mr. President, Thank you, Mr. Governor." The Chairman said.

The Chairman gave the assurance that another palliative will still be done in the future so that people who do not get in this one will get in the other ones and urged the people to continue to pay their taxes so that the government will have more funds to carry out more projects to the benefit of the people.

Talking of projects, the Chairman informed the people of some of his ongoing projects like the renovation of schools namely: Ayetoro and NAFRC Primary Schools, and construction of roads which some near completion and completed, assuring the people that more road projects will soon be commenced like Yusuf Street in Papa Ajao, Fadairo street in Itire and Ebenezer Onitiri Street and many more.

Beneficiaries of the palliative cut across different stakeholders in the communities including political parties like the Labour Party and PDP members.

Beneficiaries were full of appreciation for counting them worthy of palliative as they carried the Ghana Must Go bag to their respective homes.
