The Chairman of Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress Hon. Priest Cornelius Ojelabi, distinguished Senator Ganiu Olarewaju Solomon ( GOS), APC Mushin and Odiolowo Ojuwoye apex leader, and other dignitaries joined Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, Chairman of Mushin Local Government Area to celebrate the annual 2024 Adult Harvest Thanksgiving Service of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement, Surulere Headquarters with the theme "Good Tidings".
The annual event is to praise and worship the Almighty God for his goodness and provision over the year and present fruits of labor as offerings to the house of God.
Speaking at the celebration were APC leaders, Council Chairmen, and clerics, advised Nigerians that harvest time is coming as the nation battles with the global economic meltdown.
They said the present hardship in the country is the labouring time, which is a phase in the life of a nation, and urged Nigerians to persevere; at the end of the phase, harvest time will surely come.
"Harvest Thanksgiving service is to show appreciation of what God has done to in one's life by bringing the fruits of one's labor to the house of God, and I want to thank Almighty God for the good things he has been doing in my life personally and the life of All Progressives Congress members.
"As to the present hardship in the country, is a phase we are passing through and not limited to Nigeria alone as the economic meltdown is a global phenomenon and we have a capable hand in charge of our economy, a fertile man who is ready to fix the injuries that have affected us for so many years, so I want us to be patient with the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to fix the country as we pass through this phase and I can assure you that harvest time is coming, where we will rejoice like this and be happy for it," said the Chairman, Lagos State Chapter, All Progressives Congress, Hon. Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.
Also speaking with Mushines, the Mushin Local Government Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye who is a member of the church said thanksgiving service is an annual event that the church come together to praise the Lord for the blessing and every other things he has done which makes the church to remember heaven and continue to be faithful.
On the issue of the present economic hardship, the Chairman said, "As a nation we should continue to pray to Almighty God to direct our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for more wisdom to take us to the promised land where the harvest will come and, we all be happy in the end".
The leader of the Church, Pastor John Adegoke, advised Nigerians to believe in God as the ultimate solver of our problem and pray for the leaders he has given us, that the harvest time for our nation will surely come as the hardship is our trying and labour time as a people who believe in him.
"And I want Nigerians to be calm and law-abiding as the harvest time will surely come as a nation that we will all gather to give praise and thanksgiving to him," He added.
The Council Chairman of Ifelodun LCDA, Hon. Oluremi Okeowo, urged Nigerians to work and labour very hard, as this is the labor time, and believe in God that everything will soon be okay and the harvest time will surely come at the appointed time, that no country in the world that has not gone through what we are going through right now before they reach their height.
Other dignitaries present were Hon. Toyin Fayinka, member, Federal House of Representatives, Mushin Constituency 2 and wife, Oba Tajudeen Odubiyi, Onitire of Itire Land, Oba Sikirulai Olamide Williams, Oba of Odi Olowo Kingdom, Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe, Mushin LGA Vice Chairman, Mushin Legislative House Leader, Hon. Olawale Ayegbayo along with other Councillors, Secretary to the Local Government, Mrs. Olubunmi Gbadamosi, Council Manager, Mrs. Mojisola Gbajabiamila.
