The oldest secondary school in the Mushin community, Eko Boys High School, will be 112 years old, and its old boys under the Eko Boys High School Old Boys Association (EKOBA) is to mark the Founders' Day 2025 with the commissioning of some projects executed at the school campus in Mushin.

The school was established by the late Revd. William Benjamin Euba, on January 13, 1913. In a statement by the National Public Relations Officer of EKOBA, Ekorian Temitope Oluwabiyi, disclosed that the association will be commissioning various projects executed by the different sets of classes Old Boys on January 10.

"The E’79 set will be commissioning Adefule Gate and the E’75 set to commission the Pedestrian Gate/Gate House, as well as the Basketball Court by the E81/82 sets which the Lagos State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, as Special Guest of Honour, and the Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Falodun, as Special Guest". Ekorian Oluwabiyi said. 

Oluwabiyi explained further that the E’79/Adefule Gate commissioning is also in commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the passing out of Eko Boys’ High School by the 1979 set, led by Ekorian Michael Akeyo, while the Pedestrian Gate/Gate House is to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1975 set, led by Ekorian Adewale Tijani.

He said there will be a memorial lecture in honor of the founding fathers with the topic “Advancement in Policing: Roles of Citizens in Community Policing and Protection,” to be delivered by CSP Charles Akinrosoye.

Ekorian AIG James Caulcrick (rtd); Ekorian Kehinde Adebayo, MD, Hogan Guards Ltd; Alhaji Shotunde, Chairman, PCRC, Idi-Oro/Alakara Zone, and Crime Correspondent with The Nation, Tajudeen Adebanjo will be panelists to discuss the topic.   

He concluded that the 112th EBHS Founders’ Day anniversary celebrations would be concluded with a thanksgiving service inside the Revd. Euba Multipurpose Hall, within the school campus, will be officiated by Priests from the Methodist Church Cathedral, Palm Avenue, Mushin, on January 13.
