The Executive Chairman of Mushiin LGA, Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe today swore in the elected Honourable Councillors as members of the 10th Legislative Council of Mushin LGA 

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, which was held at the Council Secretariat Hall, the Executive Chairman said, Today marks a significant milestone to embark on a new chapter in our collective journey. 
"We gather today to mark a significant milestone, as we swear in our 10th Legislative Council and we embark on a new chapter in our collective journey.. " He said. 

He urged the legislative Council members to display an act of loyalty to the system and to the people of Mushin Local Government, and serve our people with dedication, commitment and selflessness. 

"Uphold the law and regulations that govern us, work for the people, work tirelessly for the betterment of our community and particularly your immediate wards. He added. 

He pledged to work with each councillor to drive progress, development, prosperity and together to build a brighter future for our dear community. 

Mrs. Omoshin Adebimpe, the Legal Officer of the Council, led the Councillors in the process of oath-taking. They took the oath of office, secrecy, and allegiance by the holy books of their choice. 

After the swearing-in, the Councillors proceeded to the Chamber to commence the first sitting with the nomination of principal officers, in which Hon. Dele Abioye of Ward B, councillor, emerged as the Leader of the House. 

Other principal officers nominated are Hon. Oladimeji Ibrahim of Ward C as Deputy Leader, Hon. Ojora Abolore Adeyemi of Ward E as Majority Leader, while Hon. Badru Modinat Olaitan of Ward F is Deputy Majority Leader and Hon. Akinboro Zainab of Ward J is Chief Whip. 

Speaking with Mushines, Hon. Aruwe made it known that all eyes are on them to perform., "if you go through my speech, I told them they have to be loyal so that we can perform because all eyes are on us to perform so that can fulfil all the promises made to the people of Mushin, we have to achieve it and we will achieve it by God's grace." The Leader of the House, Hon Dele Abioye speaking with Mushines News said his emergence as the leader of the House is like a dream come true as the only second-term member and most experienced among the councillors, and promised a stronger tie with the executive arms of government to deliver a good dividend of democracy to Mushin residents.

The Chief Imam of Mushin, Sheikh Sulaiman Olanijo, Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Mushin Branch, Mushin and Odi Olowo markets, co-ordinator, Alhaja Taibat Borokini and Baba Oja of Ladipo Market, Chief Monday Lawrence. 

Outgoing Councillors,, the All Progressives Congress, APC Mushin LGA Chairman, Woman Leader, Alhaja Muinat Mustapha and other leaders of the party,
