A heartfelt Facebook post demanding justice for the late Toba Ajiboye has gone viral, triggering widespread reactions and renewed calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. 

In the emotional post, the author appealed to the Inspector General of Police, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, and the Lagos State Government to ensure that those responsible, if any wrongdoing is established, are brought to justice.

"It is with a heavy heart that I call on the relevant authorities to ensure that justice is served for the late Toba Ajiboye."

The post claimed that Ajiboye was shot at the entrance of his residence and taken to Aisha Hospital, Idi-Araba, where the bullet was reportedly removed successfully. According to the writer, he was responding to treatment before he was transferred to St. Nicholas Hospital on Lagos Island, where he was later pronounced dead.

"He was responding to treatment at Aisha Hospital, Idi-Araba, before he was later taken away. Questions remain about why he was moved and what happened afterward. His eventual death has left many seeking answers. We call on the authorities to conduct a thorough, transparent investigation. Justice must be served."

The post also included the allegation:"Why kill him simply because you saw him as the only candidate capable of challenging your second term? No ambition is worth taking a life. Justice must prevail."

The allegation has not been independently verified, and there has been no official confirmation linking any individual or political motive to Ajiboye's death.

As the hashtag #JusticeForTobaAjiboye gathered momentum, Facebook users flooded the comment section with mixed reactions, with many calling for justice while others questioned aspects of the narrative and urged caution.

Babajide wrote: "But who asked to transfer him to St. Nicholas Hospital? Cos he was receiving a very good treatment over there."
