The Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA) is set for a major infrastructural transformation as Chairman Hon. Dr Seyi Jakande has laid the foundation for a new multipurpose building designed to deliver four critical services to residents.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held at the LCDA Area Office and Primary Healthcare Centre located at Anikulapu-Kuti, popularly known as Empire, beside Rasome-Kuti Secondary School in the Moshalashi area.

Addressing dignitaries, community leaders and residents at the ceremony, Jakande said the new facility would house an Area Office, Primary Healthcare Centre, Civic Centre and Computer-Based Centre.

According to the chairman, the project is part of his administration's HEWA Agenda, aimed at improving access to healthcare, strengthening community services, creating opportunities for young people and providing infrastructure that directly impacts residents.

He said the building would serve generations of residents and further demonstrate the council's commitment to the development and wellbeing of the people of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye.

The ceremony was attended by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Gbeminiyi Awodogan; SLG, Hon. Mujeeb Daramola; Chief of Staff, Hon. Taiwo Ogungbe; Leader of the House, Hon. Lekan Adeyi; Council Manager, Ms. Ogabi Mojisola; Council Treasurer, Mr. Mujitabah Rufai, councillors, advisers, community leaders, APC leaders and members, stakeholders and residents.

The project is expected to be completed within seven months to add a major new hub for healthcare, civic activities, administration and digital opportunities in the community.
