The popular Nigerian-based American radio personality, Dan Foster died on Wednesday 16th June in a medical facility in Lagos where he was receiving treatment from a brief illness.
According to his wife Lovina, who confirmed the news on Channels Television on Wednesday, said he was sicked and had run some tests for COVID-19 which the results came back positive on Tuesday and died on Wednesday afternoon.
Before his death, he's popularly called 'The Big Dawg,' Foster with many years of experience as a broadcaster and On-Air Personality, worked with numerous radio stations in the United States of America including Cathy Hughes Radio One, Mix 106.5.
Foster began his career in Nigeria with Cool FM in 2000 and left 2009 to join inspirational FM and left 2014 to City FM. He made yet another move in May 2016, from City FM 105.1 to Classic FM 97.3/ Lagos Talk FM 91.3 where he started working about three months ago.
His Sunday morning service show and Holy Laughter show on radio was very inspirational and many more radio programs that make radio program funky and his more music less talk style make him popular with Nigeria listeners and he received several awards as Best Radio Presenter
The Big Dawg role as one of the judges on "Idols West Africa" series alongside Dede Mabiaku and Ghanaian Abrewa Nana in 2007 made him more popular on the TV screen
He was also a judge at the music talent reality TV show "Nigeria's Got Talent" alongside actress Kate Henshaw and comedian Yibo Koko.
Foster was married to Lovina and they have a son and daughter together, it was also reported to have another son from a previous marriage.
His bold and strong voice will forever be missed on radio and style has been a source of inspiration for many upcoming on-air personalities.
