It is no longer news that hoodlums in their great numbers go about in the wee hours of the day to rob people in their houses in the Mushin community.
Today around 1am, Friday 30th May 2025, distressed calls were made to us that hoodlums were presently at Paul Okuntola Street trying to break into houses, and the DPO of Olosan Police Station, CSP. Taiwo Olayemi was quickly alerted and confirmed the attack that they were on their way to the street.
After some minutes, it was confirmed that the police came and the hoodlums ran away after shooting at them.
It was gathered that a shop along Alasalatu Street dealing with phone accessories and repairs was burgled.
The residents said thank you to the police for their rapid response and asked for a permanent station of patrol vehicles with officers at Alasalatu junction by Paul Okuntola entrance, which would prevent the hoodlums from coming into their Streets and other streets within the area being the hotspot for the hoodlums.
The residents also confirmed that there are efforts to make gates and employ security guards at some strategies entrances to the street which will prevent easy access for the hoodlums.
