The Federal House of Representatives member representing Mushin Constituency 1, Hon. Adeyemi Alli highlighted his first two years' achievements in office at the official presentation of JAMB UTME Forms to 200 indigent students of Mushin Constituency 1 of Odiolowo Ojuwoye LCDA at the Harmony House, the Constituency office, on Monday, 15 June 2021.

The beneficiaries who have been duly registered after a successful screening exercise by the screening committee were in attendance as they get to prepare for the examination.

The MHR, while delivering his speech made it known that his first two years as a Member of, House of Representatives was filled with many achievements which education and empowerment formed the core value of his constituency projects.

He mentioned that he was the first member to raise a motion on the floor of the House on how to make power ( electricity) stable to grow our industry and solve many unemployment problems in the country, on social empowerment, many elders have been supported financially through the feed the elders initiative, training for tradesmen and artisans on productivity in their business.

On education, he commissioned a state-of-the-art information Communication Technology (ICT) Centres at Iluoeju Senior Secondary School and Ilupeju Senior Grammar School which was very unprecedented in the community. The centre is equipped with solar power, an interactive teaching board,  computers, printers with a scanner, which serve as a computer-based test training centre for students preparing for computer-based external examinations like UTME.

Distribution of school bags and exercise books to all junior secondary school students, distribution of plastic chairs and tables, exercise books, textbooks to primary pupils including teaching staff desk and seat along with computer and power generator.

Without forgetting the two luxury school buses that were set on fire by the hoodlums during the END SARS struggle and promised to get another set of school buses in due time.

Furthermore, many indigents students benefited from the last year's UTME JAMB forms distribution which took a different dimension this year with the inauguration of screening committee members, saddles with the responsibility of screening all applicants base on merit so that well-deserving indigent students get the form.

On this year's 2021 UTME forms, the Honorable promised that any candidate that scores 250 and above and secures admission to the tertiary institution will get his special grant fund as suggested by the committee, thanked the committee for a well-done job in doing justice in performing their duties and presented a certificate to the committee members as an appreciation.

He disclosed that very soon about 100 youths will be trained, equipped, and funded in another skill acquisition program, also new sickbays will be constructed in some primary schools and solar-powered street lights will be facilitated, as well as an empowerment program for the widows.

Hon. Rasaq Ajala the Chairman of Odiolowo Ojuwoye LCDA present thanked the MHR for the gesture which goes in line with his administration policy of common pool for common benefit by ensuring that public incentives were distributed to the people base on merit as against the norms of giving out dividend of democracy to political or social class and advised the student not to allow their social-economic background derail or stop them from pursuing their dreams most especially academic dream which will give them a better future.

The Chairman of the Screening Committee,  Mr. Adebowale who is the Principal of Ilupeju Grammar School, Mr. thanked the MHR for the privilege to serve the community and explained the procedures used in screening the beneficiaries, and proposed other incentives for the students.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mister Clinton Morakiyo appreciated the MHR and the screening committee for being fair and just in the screening process which deserving indigent students like him can benefit from the scheme and promised to do his best to secure admission into University as he's about to complete his OND.





Many of the dignitaries present gave their best advise you the beneficiaries and motivated them to pursue their dream most especially academic dream so that they can add value to the community for its development
