A proudly Mushine, Hon. Adeleke Opeodu has been changing the narrative through a foundation named after himself, the Deleke Opeodu  Foundation, which has been touching lives differently with so many programs that care for mankind, especially the less privileged, and improving a lot of his community in Mushin, Odiolowo Ojuwoye, Ojuelegba in Surulere, Ijeshatedo in Osun State and at different parts of Nigeria.


The UK-based philanthropist was born at Kajola Primary Healthcare Centre, Ayonuga Street to the family of Mr & Mrs. Opeodu on the 10th of March, 1970.

He started his educational journey at  Methodist Primary School, Sabo Yaba to Government College, Lagos, Eric Moore, and started his higher education in the UK at the University of Plymouth where he obtained a BSc Honours in Oil and Gas, London School of Management Education and: Master in Business Management from the  University of Sunderland.


Presently, a Director at Nexgen International (London & Nigeria), Director at TLfirst consultant ( London ), Senior Worker at NHS England, and Consultant / Logistic officer of the National Union Of Road Transport Workers ( NURTW) Federal Head Quarter Abuja.

Hon. Opeodu, a humanitarian, goal-getter, and down-to-earth leader with records of breaking barriers and building a future, an aspirant for the Federal House of Representatives, Mushin Constituency 1 under the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress was recently caught up with while putting smiles on the faces of people in Mushin and Odiolowo Ojuwoye as the global economic meltdown hit on and took us through several ways he has touched people's life differently through the Deleke Opeodu foundation founded on July, 5th 2020 precisely and celebrating the 5th year anniversary next year July 15th 2025 by God's grace.

He said the foundation is working toward better living across the globe and so far he has been financing all the projects in Nigeria at the moment as he partners with other international and local charities in delivering services to the needy.

"In Odiolowo Ojuwoye and Mushin, We have been able to support the wonderful work done and still achieving by the Governor of Lagos State and Council  Chairmen, we all must contribute in one way or another to support the Government by reaching out to the elderly people, youths and the community members," he said.

Part of the foundation services to the Odiolowo Ojuwoye community is providing borehole water to the following streets: Kadiri Street, Ayonuga Street, Damigoro Street, and Cole Street to mention a few, supported with key starter generator to power it when there is no supply of light and maintaining them to date.

Street light was installed in Adewusi Street, Fadeyi, securing jobs for the youth in the community in Nigeria and abroad, securing living accommodations, payment of hospital bills, and medication bills, and constantly supplying food palliatives to the people.

"One of what God has helped the foundation to achieve was the memorandum of understanding of a seized fire and gang war in Odi-Olowo which we are still enjoying for the past 5 years with proof."

He made it known that during the pandemic, the salary of 70 private school teachers in Mushin and Odiolowo Ojuwoye were paid, 50 private school teachers around Nigeria were paid too through the foundation, and hospitals in Surulere were supported to deliver affordable healthcare service.

Recently, Deleke Opeodu Foundation supported 30 Okada riders with 6 liters of Petrol each, 40 Keke Marwa riders also benefitted from the program by getting 6 litters of petrol each in Osun state on Tuesday, 12 March 2024.

A Community benefitted by installing a brand new transformer on  Wednesday, 13  March, 2024 at Iragbiji Community in Osun state and shared food palliatives in 3 communities in Osun state.

He advises the people in the community to support each other, working hand in hand with compassion and love with one another.

"The foundation supported 20 elderly petty sellers in Odi-Olowo with #20,000 each to support their businesses which beneficiaries were picked randomly on the street.

"DOF will continue to support Nigerians irrespective of religion or tribe", he concluded.
