The Odiolowo Club was established in 1981 by a group of friends who are sons of the soil of the Odiolowo community to engage one another in social activities that enhance the well-being of members, residents, and the Odiolowo community at large. 

On Sunday, 3rd November 2024, members of the club visited the king of Odiolowo Kingdom, Oba Sikirulahi Olamide Apena-Williams, Osu Apena 1 at his Palace and appointed him as Grand Patron. 

According to the President of the club, Alhaji Bakare, addressing the Kabiyesi took the Kabiyesi through the journey of the social club so far, stating the strength of the club membership and the impact they have made within the community in terms of social engagement and empowerment to the people of Odiolowo community. 

"The Odiolowo Club is a social club established to help each other, foster unity and peace within the Odi olowo community, and promote development in Odiolowo and Lagos state and it is the tradition of the club to have a Grand Patron which is reserved for the king of the community and late Oba Fatai Irawo was our first grand patron, since his demise the club has not gotten another grand patron. 

"Kabiyesi, may your reign last. We humbly appoint you as our new grand patron as the new king of our dear community, and we pray that your reign shall bring goodness and development to the community". The President said. 

The club also presented Kabiyesi 3D-stationed plastic image as a gift and sought his support. 

The Kabiyesi, in his response, appreciated the club for the appointment and gift and prayed for the club and its members. "I want to thank you for the appointment as your grand patron and the gift, I appreciate it and promise to be there for you whenever am needed and I pray that as you made me your grand patron, you and the club shall begin to experience more glorious things and achievements and whatever you set your hand on or do shall prosper by the power of our forefathers and the gods of our land," Kabiyesi said.
