The Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye has assured the senior citizens, less privilege and widows, widowers who are beneficiaries of the quarterly stipends which he started since his administration began in 2017 that the program will outlive his administration which the next administration will continue. 

Addressing the beneficiaries at the presentation of the financial support during the 2nd quarter of 2025 at the Council Secretariat on Wednesday, 9th July 2025.

He said his administration never missed a quarter since he started it with a token that has been increased to 10,000 even added other gift items during Christmas and other festivals. 

"This is program is dear to our administration considering the impact of it on the life of our elders considering the neglect our old people and during our campaign, the senior people requested for "Owo Arugbo", and we promised them, which we are been fulfilling this promise from our day one in office. 

"Am giving you assurance of the continuity of this program because the next administration will be a product of this administration, he will sustain it and even do better, " Hon Bamigboye. 

He also assured them of good governance which the incoming administration will carry our many roads projects and deliver good dividend of demcracy to the people of Mushin. 

Also speaking, the Vice- Chairman who doubles as the Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Mushin LGA, Hon Tunbosun Haruna Arise corroborated the Chairman's assurance that he will add more spices to the stipends when elected as the Chairman of Council. 

"This program is dear to our administration and it is going to be l dear to us as the incoming administration, myself and my vice along with other APC candidates like Councilors will be elected and we will continue the program as Hon. Bamigboye said, even add to the gifts to the beneficiaries. 

"Be rest assured with continuing the program with more beneficiaries and gifts you take home quarterly, " The vice chairman, APC Chairmanship said. 

The beneficiaries prayed for the Chairman, Hon. Bamigboye for taking care of them and nature will repay him back, also wished all the APC candidates a resounding victory at the poll. 

The welfare package tagged "Owo Arugbo" is given to the senior citizens every quarter si that they can meet up with their financial challenges and needs which the beneficiaries were selected from the CDA, religious bodies, traditional rulers and community leaders.
