The Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe, alongside members of the Legislative Council, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Alhaja Moriamo Ajayi Showunmi, who lost her life in a tragic accident on Layi Oyekanmi Street on Tuesday.

The deceased was the mother of Alhaja Modinat Olushoga, Councilor representing Ward H in Mushin Local Government Area.

Hon. Aruwe, while consoling the bereaved family at the family residence at Sadiku Street, Papa Ajao, described the incident as a great loss to the All Progressives Congress (APC) family in Mushin and the entire Mushin community. He prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul and for comfort for the family left behind.

Mushines News gathered that the accident occurred when a vehicle reversed from Araromi Street into Layi Oyekanmi Street and rammed a tricycle, crushing it against the wall of the former APC Secretariat building at Layi Oyekanmi. 

Two passengers died instantly, including the late Alhaja Showunmi and a Community Development Association (CDA) leader,  Mr Dayo Ajiboye from Itire, while two other passengers sustained serious injuries, while the tricycle driver did not sustain any injury. 

The condolence visit was attended by legislative leaders, councillors, and political associates, who all expressed sympathy and pledged their support to the family.
