Panic and outrage have erupted across social media after popular TikTok content creator and livestreamer, Hamzat Habeeb, widely known as Peller, crashed his car during a live broadcast on the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos. The shocking incident happened on Sunday while the influencer was streaming live on Instagram in a session ominously titled “RIP Peller.”

In the disturbing footage now circulating online, Peller was seen driving alone in his newly acquired Mercedes-Benz, visibly emotional and crying while speaking on the phone, reportedly with his girlfriend amid breakup rumours. Viewers were alarmed as he made several troubling statements during the livestream, including, “I will use this car and have an accident right now,” and later, “I’m scared. I’m scared.”

Moments later, the livestream captured the terrifying climax as Peller veered off and rammed his vehicle into a stone, causing a crash that abruptly ended the broadcast. Another clip that surfaced shortly after showed him being helped by bystanders at the scene before he was taken to a hospital. The extent of his injuries remains unknown as no official medical update has been released.

Photos shared online show the Mercedes-Benz badly damaged, intensifying public concern. The incident has triggered massive reactions, with many Nigerians calling on the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other authorities to urgently investigate, stressing that the act endangered not only the influencer’s life but also other road users on the busy expressway.

While some viewers allege the crash may have been staged for content, others insist that there must be consequences for what they describe as reckless, dangerous behaviour carried out in real time before thousands of viewers. As of press time, Peller and relevant authorities have yet to issue any official statement, leaving questions and fears hanging as the video continues to spread.
