The Lagos State Council of Tradesmen and Artisans (LASCOTA), Mushin Chapter, has mobilised its members to register for the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the party’s e-membership registration exercise continues across Lagos State.
The registration exercise took place at the APC Secretariat along Palm Avenue, Mushin, which serves as the Ward A (Atewolara) registration centre. Executives and members of the council, led by the Chairperson, Alhaja Oluwakemi Okunlola, were present to formally enlist as members of the ruling party.
According to LASCOTA officials, those who participated in the exercise are artisans and tradesmen who reside and vote within the ward, noting that similar registration activities are being replicated across all wards in Mushin under the council’s chapter.
Speaking at the event, Alhaja Okunlola said the council’s decision to join the APC was driven by confidence in the party’s leadership and performance at all levels of government.
“Members of our council, who are leaders in their various trades, believe in the APC and its progressive agenda. We are ready to support the party to ensure its success in the coming general elections,” she said.
She further stressed that the achievements of the APC-led administrations at the local government, state, and federal levels have strengthened the council’s resolve.
“From the grassroots to the national level, we have seen positive impacts of governance. 2027 is non-negotiable; APC deserves our full support,” Okunlola added.
Also present at the registration centre was the Chairman of Mushin Local Government Area, Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe, who commended the tradesmen and artisans for their show of solidarity.
“I appreciate the leadership of LASCOTA for rallying their members to identify with the ruling and progressive party. This kind of grassroots mobilisation is key to sustainable development,” Aruwe said.
Members of the council described the exercise as a demonstration of their unwavering loyalty to the APC, pledging continued support for the party’s programmes and candidates ahead of future elections.
