The Mushin community, Lagos State transport sector and members of the All Progressives Congress have been thrown into mourning following the death of prominent political and social figure, Chief Taorid Faronbi, popularly known as Baba Alado.

The family announced his death, disclosing that the prominent Mushin figure had passed away.

The announcement also brings an end to years of rumours surrounding the reported death of Baba Alado, as previous reports of his death had circulated without confirmation from his family.

Chief Faronbi was a prominent figure in Mushin and Lagos State, particularly within political, social and transport circles. He was also a recognised leader within the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos.

His death is expected to be widely felt among NURTW members, political associates, community leaders, friends and other members of the Mushin community who knew him.

Baba Alado’s influence extended across different sections of Mushin’s social and political landscape, where he maintained relationships with people from various backgrounds.

As news of his death spreads, tributes and condolences are expected from his political associates, NURTW colleagues, community stakeholders, friends and well-wishers.
