The Owode Community Development Association members at Akala area have alleged Mr. Toba and his gang to be the perpetrator of the recent gun shooting around Alhaji Laaisi railwayline side by the Mopol 20 camp and Idi-oro axis.

The community members led by the Chairman of the CDA, Mr. Kolawole Kelani, said that a petition has been written to the Ngeria Police Force against the alleged people, which community leaders have been informed in order to avert the recurrent of past ugly days of gun shooting and violence in Odi-olowo community.

In the petition letter made available to us by the Chairman of the CDA with the heading "Letter of Petition Against Mr. Toba Joel and It's Gangs for Terrorising Good People of Idi-Oro Odi-Olowo and Perpetrating Atrocities, Criminality and Indiscriminate Gun Shooting at Night in Odi-Oro Odi-Olowo Mushin and Neighbourhood."

In the letter dated 26th July, 2020, it was gathered that the community humbly writes a petition against the following persons namely: Mr. Toba Joel (the leader of the gangs),  Lekan Famous, Mufutau Magnet, Gafari Gapio, Ismail Horror and My Son's Brother, that they are responsible for the sporadic gunshot that occurred on the 23rd of July, 2020 night which caused a lot of panic and pandemonium.

"It was gathered through grassroots information source that the leader of the group and mentor is one Mr. Toba Joel who was allegedly reported to always provide the group with arms and other dangerous weapons, which they use to unleashed terror and intimidate the people of Idi-oro community." The letter reads.

The letter also disclosed that the people of Idi-oro has never retaliated any of these incessant and provocative attacks coming from Fadeyi Odi-olowo axis despite various degree of injuries sustained by the youths and commended the D.P.O and Officers of Alakara Police Station whose effort have reduced the criminality perpetrated in the axis by same persons as a result of the withdrawal of Mopol 20 officers at the camp built by Hon. Rasaq Ajala, the Chairman of Odi-olowo Ohuwoye LCDA at Alhaji Lasisi Street by the railway line, has contributed to the incessant incursion of these persons mentioned above into Idi-oro community to perpetrate their dastardly act which has now degenerated into the molestation of girls, breaking of shops and attacking innocent people during their sleeping hours.

In view of the threat and new series of attack, the community requested from the Nigeria police Force to improve patrol and surveillance of law enforcement officers to checkmate any incursion, to begin official investigation and apprehend the persons mentioned above, and immediate redeployment of officers to Mopol 20 camp at Alhaji Lasisi street because the presence of the officers will prevent any future attacks.

According to the CDA Chairman, it was revealed that the people launching this attack always make their exit through a narrow road by Smith street, gathered at one uncompleted building taken over by a drug seller called Olu and always occupy the front of a bakery in the front of the uncompleted buikding at night to terrorise the people.

The CDA Chairman appealed to the good people of the community not to take laws into their hands by not retaliating any attack and urged them to continue to be law-abiding citizens of Nigeria.
