The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, yesterday Monday, 14 August, 2023 appointed six new “non-cabinet” Special Advisers to work with him in various capacities across state ministries.

In a press statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, made it known that the appointment takes immediate effect.

The new appointees included Dr. Iyabo Oyeyemi Ayoola as the Special Adviser on Central Internal Audit,

Dr Ayoola, Mama Visioners as she is popularly called is the founder of the Visioners, a nongovernmental organization promoting the progressives agenda and ideal of the All Progressives Congress at the grassroots most especially in Mushin LGA and Odiolowo Ojuwoye LCDA.

The NGO has empowered both old and young people in terms of skill acquisition and empowerment, a retired Lagos state civil servant, who left the service statutorily as a Permanent Secretary of Lagos State Ministry of Finance.

In her response to the appointment, she thanked Almighty God for the appointment and expressed great joy and happiness for the governor to have deemed it right for her to work with him.

"I count it as a rare privilege to be part of Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu's team in this second term in office, l will contribute my best to the development of the state as I always do and actualize the THEMES agenda of the Governor," she said.

"I want to extend appreciation to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, our Apex leader distinguished Senator Ganiu Olarewaju Solomon, and other people who have made this possible," she added.

others appointed are Mr Olalekan Balogun as Special Adviser on Economic Planning & Budget, Akinyemi Ajigbotafe as Special Adviser on  Community Developmentt, Rev. Bukola Adebiyi as Special Adviser on Christian Religion; Dr Abdullahi Jebe as Special Adviser on Muslim Religion; and Ismail Odesanya as Special Adviser on DAWN Commission & South-West Integration.
