The Governor’s speech was read as follows:
“It gives me great pleasure to join the leaders of the Mushin community, religious leaders, distinguished personalities and representatives of the Mushin youth community to commission this newly built block of 18 classrooms and other facilities at Euba Junior High School, Mushin.
“This project is a testament to our resolute commitment to transforming lives and uplifting communities through quality education and sustainable socioeconomic development. Euba Junior High School, like many schools in our desired area, is faced with significant challenges, which include overcrowded classrooms, dilapidated structures, and inadequate learning facilities.
“This condition, not only in that affect teaching and learning but also reflected the broader social-economic disparities that affect our communities. Over-crowded classrooms and poor infrastructure also lead to higher dropout rates, reduced academic performance, and limited opportunities for students to reach their full potential.
“Recognizing these pricing issues, our administration took swift action to address these challenges, ensuring that students have access to a safe, modern, and motivating learning environment. Education remains the cornerstone of our administration vision because we understand that an honest and educated population is the foundation of a private economy and a just society.
“By investing in education, we are not only equipping our children, with the tools to succeed. We are breaking the cycle of poverty and creating pathways for socioeconomic advancement. The construction of this 18-plus room is a principal step in this direction and a part of the broader effort to improve educational infrastructure across the states.
“Notably, we have 13 similar projects currently being commissioned simultaneously. The socio-economic impact of this project cannot be overstated, educational facility like this classroom will not only enhance the quality of education but also stimulate community development, improve infrastructure, reduce student absenteeism, and increase parental involvement in education.
“Furthermore, the construction of this project has already created jobs for local workers. Providing short-term economic relief and skilled development for the community. In the long term, the ripple effect of quality education will be felt across the Mushin as educated youth contributes to the local economy, drive innovation, and foster social cohesion.
“The provision of modern educational facilities is not just about bricks and mortar; it is about investing in human capital and laying strong foundations for a brighter, more equitable future. Within these new classrooms, our students will be better motivated to learn, our teachers will be better equipped to impart knowledge, and the entire community will benefit from the transformative power of education.
“This project is a clear demonstration of how education is the most powerful tool for reducing inequality, empowering individuals, and driving sustainable development.
“I must commend the effort of the special committee on the rehabilitation of public schools, our developed partners, and all stakeholders who worked hard tirelessly to make this project a reality.
“Your dedication and support are invaluable, and we continue on this journey to transform education and to improve the socioeconomic conditions of our communities. So, students from Euba Junior High School, I urge you all to make the best use of this facility.
“Study hard, be disciplined and take pride in your education, the future is in your hands, and with determination and hard work, you can achieve greatness. Remember, education is not just a personal achievement; it is a tool for uplifting your family, your community, and Nigeria as a nation.
“As we commission this building today, we affirm our administration commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind in the pursuit of knowledge, to continue to invest in education, to provide necessary resources, and foster an enabling environment for learning innovation, and socio-economic growth.
“This project is a beacon of hope, a symbol of progress, and a reminder that when we prioritize education, we are building a brighter future for all. Once again, I thank everyone who has contributed to this remarkable achievement.
