The Mushin Police Division, popularly known as Olosan Police Station, was reported on Monday, 24th March, 2025 around 6:30 pm to be on fire according to a source which was widely reported for emergency safety measures. 

Confirming the report, the DPO of Olosan Police Station, CSP Taiwo Sodiq, said the firefighters are currently battling the fire, and it is the barrack section that was on fire, not the police station as widely reported earlier.

"Yes, there is a fire incident at the police barrack of the police station, not the police station, and the firefighters are currently on the ground to extinguish the fire. " He said. 

A visit to the scene of the fire at the barrack section showed that the fire had been put out and the upper floor of block I, one of the barrack buildings at the back of the police station was completely burnt. 

It was gathered the fire started from one of the apartments on the upper floor, set the roof on fire, and spread to other apartments on the floor. The prompt response of the firefighters helped to prevent the fire from extending to the other floors of the building.
