The Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Olatunbosun Haruna Aruwe, has launched another round of development projects aimed at improving infrastructure and education within the Mushin community.
Earlier today, Hon. Aruwe officially flagged off the reconstruction of Da-Silva Street, off Alafia Street in the Ilasamaja area, and began the rebuilding of Akodu Primary School along Akodu Street, Mushin.
During an inspection of the ongoing drainage construction at Da-Silva Street, the Chairman was accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Semiu Karaole, the Leader of the House, Hon. Dele Abioye, and other councillors. The team urged residents to cooperate with the contractors to ensure the smooth execution of the project.
The inspection team later proceeded to Akodu Street, where Hon. Aruwe performed the concrete block-laying ceremony for the reconstruction of the old Jakande School building.
The out-of-fashion structure, currently held up by iron poles and lacking proper classroom partitions, will be transformed into a modern school building with block walls, standard classroom demarcations, and improved learning facilities.
The Chairman and his team also visited the ongoing construction of a new police post at Idi-Araba, which has reached the lintel stage. They assessed the quality of work to ensure it met design specifications and encouraged the workers to maintain the pace of progress.
Hon. Aruwe reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining developmental projects across Mushin, describing them as “clear evidence of continuity of good governance and a renewed vision to position Mushin among the most progressive local governments in Nigeria.”
