The Council Chairman of Mushin LGA, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, urged aspirants who lost out in the Chairmanship and councilorship race for the All Progressives Congress party tickets, while applauding leaders and members of the party for a peaceful and successful Chairmanship and Councilorship primary elections.
Also congratulated his Vice-Chairmen, Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe of Mushin LGA, for clinching the party Chairmanship tickets and all the Councilorship candidates at the just concluded primaries as the party flagbearers for the 2025 Lagos State Local Government elections.
The Council Chairman made it known that the party has strengthened its internal democracy with the conduct of the May 10th primary elections held at the State Party Secretariat for Chairmanship and across all the wards in the state for councillorship.
He said the party delegates for the primaries united and voted in the direction of the party leaders, which is their choice as a respect to the party supremacy and loyalty to its leadership.
Added that the victory of his Vice Chairmen is the assurance of continuity of good governance which his administration is known for and applauded the leaders of the party at the two local councils for believing in the recommendation of their Vice -Chairmen to flag the party's flag in the coming local councils elections schedule to hold on Saturday, 12 July, 2025.
“I want to congratulate my Vice Chairman. Hon. Tunbosun Aruwe for clinching the party ticket and thank all the political leaders in Mushin starting from the Apex leader and GAC member, Distinguished Senator Ganiu Olarewaju Solomon to others for their great wisdom to go by the consensus candidate, I want to assure you that the next administration will continue in the good legacy we have laid, even surpass it because they have been grounded and gainer experience to deliver good governance, I’m certain that victory is ours at the general election.” Said Hon. He urged other aspirants to see the winners win as theirs because political office is turn by turn, and their own turn will definitely come when they support those whose turn has come.
“Aruwe wins is a win for all because In a political contest like this, where it is one seat for one person, it is always advisable to accept whosoever is anointed not because you are not good or qualified for the post but for the sake of the love for the party and the community, one needs to accept fate and support whosoever have emerged as the party candidates and the party in its reward system always look inward for loyal and trusted party members for future appointment, they should see it as a win for all and join hands with the party flagbearers to have a resounding victory at the general elections”.
On the party primary election, the Chairman applauded the party for organising a free and fair party primaries which no one can complain of any injustice or biased, also thanked the leaders for going through the consensus arrangement as specify in the party’s constitution which was as results of promoting unity in the party, save the aspirants from wasteful spending and heating the politics to avoid unwanted violence and rancour that can occur.
Mushin Council Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, praised the Apex leader, Distinguished Senator Ganiu Olarewaju Solomon, for his distributive mechanism in this local council politicking, as his ultimate goal is to protect the party and make it relevant for future elections and the development of Mushin.
