The entire Mushin community, to Odi-olowo Ojuwoye, has been thrown into mourning following the announcement of the passing of a political figure and respected community leader, Prince Bayo Osiyemi, who died peacefully in the early hours of today, Monday, November 24, 2025, in London.
In an official statement released by the family, signed by Seyi Osiyemi, the news of his transition was confirmed with deep sorrow but also with gratitude for a life marked by service, leadership, and impact.
According to the family, “While we mourn his loss deeply, we also celebrate his well-lived life and the countless individuals he touched.”
Prince Bayo Osiyemi was a veteran journalist, an All Progressives Congress (APC) political leader, and a former Executive Chairman of the old Mushin Local Government whose impact has remained evident across the community.
Residents, friends, political leaders, and associates have begun sending in tributes with a visit to his Ilupeju residence, describing him as a man of wisdom, integrity, and compassion — one whose legacy will continue to inspire.
The family noted that details of the memorial service and funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course, as preparations begin to honour his extraordinary life.
As the community reflects on his passing, many recall his generosity and his role as a unifying force whose contributions will not be forgotten.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
