The Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Dr Seyi Jakande, has dedicated his recent Leadership Recognition Award to residents of the council, describing the honour as a collective victory for the people.
In a press statement by the Council Chairman after being declared the winner of the award from RootsWatch Magazine in recognition of the council’s strides in infrastructure development, community growth, and expanded opportunities for residents.
Dr Jakande said, “This award is not mine alone; it belongs to every resident whose trust, support, and encouragement continue to inspire our daily work.”
He further acknowledged the role of the people in the voting process, adding, “Your voices, your choices, and your faith in our shared vision are the true foundation of this recognition.”
Dr Jakande reaffirmed his commitment to delivering people-oriented governance, stating, “As your Executive Chairman, I reaffirm my commitment to service with integrity, transparency, and vision.”
He also assured residents of sustained development under his administration, noting that the recognition would inspire greater efforts. “Together, we will continue to move forward with HEWA Agenda — service to the people, prosperity for all,” he said.
