The All Progressives Congress (APC), Ward A, Atewolara, Mushin, has sworn in 27 new executive members and declared its determination to retain its position as the ward with the highest number of votes for the party in Mushin.

The new executives were sworn in on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, at the family residence of the APC apex leader in Mushin and Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye, Distinguished Senator Ganiu Olarewaju Solomon, Anipele Street, Mushin.

Present at the swearing-in ceremony were ward leaders, party members and stakeholders who gathered to welcome the new executives and strategise on grassroots mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The new executive members, led by Alhaji Rasheed Oladosun, were presented to the gathering before taking the oath of allegiance and secrecy. 

Speaking after the swearing-in, the Ward Chairman thanked the Apex leader, Distinguished Senator Ganiu Olarewaju Solomon, for his exceptional leadership style and founding him worthy of the position, and pledged to serve the party with all humility and fairness. 

He urged party members to mobilised extensively for the coming election, considering the strength of the ward having the Apex leader, the Council Chairman and the party LGA Chairman. 

Party leaders present charged the new executives to embrace fairness, unity and proactive leadership in the discharge of their responsibilities.

They urged the executives to see their positions as a call to service, stressing that they must carry all party members along and avoid any action capable of creating division within the ward.

The leaders also reminded the new executives that their emergence was a responsibility entrusted to them by the party, urging them not to disappoint those who had confidence in their ability to lead the ward.

A major focus of the meeting was the ward's electoral performance, with members expressing determination to ensure that Ward A remains the highest-voting ward for the APC in Mushin.

The executives were directed to commence and lead aggressive grassroots mobilisation, including door-to-door engagement with residents and party supporters.

Members were encouraged to take the achievements of the APC administration at the federal, state and local levels to the people while mobilising support for the party's candidates.

They were also urged to highlight the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as well as those of APC representatives, including Federal House of Representatives member Hon. Toyin Fayinka and Lagos State House of Assembly member Hon. Yinka Kaseem, and the Council Chairman, Hon. Olatunbosun Haruna Aruwe achievements across the ten wards. 

The party leaders stressed that the mobilisation must extend beyond party meetings to streets, homes and communities across the ward.

Hon. Jamiu Falana, a permanent member of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board present, said the forthcoming election would require strong grassroots mobilisation and increased votes for APC candidates across the ballot.

Falana urged party members to work collectively to protect Mushin's relevance within the APC, noting that the area remains an important political constituency in Lagos.

He charged the new executives to immediately get to work, mobilise their respective areas and ensure that Ward A continues to record strong electoral support for the party.
