The Igbo community in Mushin today conferred honourary Igbo chieftaincy title on the council chairmen in Mushin community during the annual New Yam Festival the New Yam Festival and Igbo Cultural Day in Mushin at Archbishop Aggey Memorial School Field.

The two Council Chairmen; Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye and Hon. Rasaq Ajala of Mushin LGAand Odiolowo Onuwoye LCDA respectively was given the title because of the open door relationship which the Chairmen extended to the Igbos in Mushin and Odiolowo Ojuwoye community.

The Eze N"digbo of Mushin, Eze Peter Umeh, made the igbos who came from far and near that the two Council Chairman deserve more than just the chieftaincy title from the Igboa in Mushin because they (the Igbos) are treated as one family which is very unprecedented.



The Honourary Chieftaincy title conferred on Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye of Mushin LGA was "Enyi Dika Nwanne Ndigbo 1 of Mushin, meaning friend like a brother while Hon. Rasaq Ajala of Odiolowo Ojuwoye LCDA was given Onye Ihe Ndigbo Na Amasi 1 of Odiolowo.meaning having interest in Ignos activities 


The two chairmen appreciated the title given to them. and promised to continue to promote good relationships with the people of the community irrespective of the tribe or social background.
