A woman in her mid-forty narrated her phobia of sitting at the back of a commercial bus as everyone turned to scold her for refusing to sit at the back of a bus in Oshodi to Mushin.
The woman, who identified herself as Mama Risi, was sitting by the door side in the first-row seat of a minibus popularly called Korope at the brown junction, Oshodi, where passengers enter the bus going to Mushin.
Then a woman who is pregnant and having two kids with her came as the last passenger to sit at the back which is obviously not convenient for her and appealed to Mama Risi to please sit at the back while she sit at the Mama Risi seat.
Mama Risi declined and said she can't go to back that if it is not convenient for her to sit at the back then she should go and enter another bus.
As the appeal and decline persisted, other passengers on the bus appealed to Mama Risi. She refused to yield to the appeal to the extent that the driver told her to leave the bus, and she refused.
The Mushines correspondent who was sitting beside Mama Risi, had to move to the back to create a seat for the pregnant woman, and the matter was laid to rest.
As the mini-bus was going, the matter became the centre of discussion, passengers scolding Mama Risi that it was very unfair to have declined the appeal from the woman, knowing full well that the back seat would not be convenient for the pregnant woman.
Mama Risi defended her action by stating that she has a phobia of sitting at the back of a commercial bus since she was robbed last year in a one-chance-bus, that each time she sits at the back of a commercial bus her temperature rises and the ugly incident recalls in her memory, and she has always been careful of sitting either in the front seat or the first-row seat of any commercial bus.
Passengers were not comfortable with her excuse and advised her to get rid of the phobia because she can't continue to do this all the time, the best for her is to face her fear and be free from it, sitting at the front or the first-row seat in a bus does not stop criminals from robbing her when entering one-chance bus again.
Is the woman right, or what do you think the woman should do?

Happy Easter.
