Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe has read the riot act against any act of hoodlums and thuggery causing insecurity in mUshin hitting the ground running as the new executive chairman of MUshin LGA.
The Chairman made this known in a security meeting held at the Area D, Police Command on Wednesday, 31 July, 2025 by YETI Foundation to address the rising insecurity in MUshin and proffer lasting solutions.
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman said his government will not condone any act of hoodlums and thuggery by anybody or groups.
"This new government will find lasting solutions to this insecurity, I want everyone here to warn their children that anybody arrested or found constituting a threat to the peace in Mushin will not be spared or given a second chance, and don't say we voted for them and now they are arresting our children.
"If we provide the solution now and you don't abide by the peace process and you choose to cause trouble and fear in the community, we will show you where you are to be. " He said
He instructed the police to follow the Riot Act by not releasing anybody arrested or found disturbing the peace in Mushin.
He added that he didn't know why a 112-year-old boy would be in possession of guns, shooting and killing yellow human beings
Cited a scenario that led to the death of his younger brother who was brutally killed in broad daylight
Urged everyone present to be sincere without hiding any feelings or the truth about the issue so that solutions can be achieved.
Other dignitaries present, like traditional leaders, religious leaders, transport union leaders and members, community leaders and members, all identified the cause and solutions to the insecurity.
The chairman, in response to everyone's suggestions, said the CDA in Idi-Araba requested a police post in Idi-Araba, as they have land for it. He promised that before the celebration of his 100 days in office, the foundation would be erected.
Instructed the CDA to be very active and vigilant of what is going on in the community and not to condone any act that will lead to insecurity in the future because many of these acts by hoodlums are as a result of negligence by the CDA.
"Our CDA should not allow anyone whose house has been sold or parents packed out of the community to live around aimlessly because these boys have nothing at stake in the community and are liable to cause trouble by recruiting gangs to terrorise the community, and run away, so our CDA should take note of that". He added.
He reiterated that anyone arrested after this meeting will be shown where he belongs.
After the meeting, the Chairman visited a woman at Idi-araba who sustained a serious injury on her knee during one of the hoodlums' attacks in the community, and gave her financial support and pledged more support.
