The family of the late Comrade Joel "Toba" Ajiboye has announced the burial arrangements for the departed National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) chieftain, bringing an emotional close to days of mourning following his tragic death.

According to the funeral announcement, a burial service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at 4, Toba Ajiboye Street, Ketu, Lagos.

After the service, the late union leader will be laid to rest at 22, Ereko Street, Fadeyi, Odi-Olowo, where family members, friends, political associates, transport union leaders, and sympathisers are expected to gather to pay their final respects.

Toba Ajiboye's death has continued to generate widespread grief across Lagos, particularly within the NURTW, where he was widely regarded as a loyal, committed, and influential figure. His passing has drawn tributes from top union officials, political leaders, and supporters, many of whom described him as a fearless advocate for transport workers and a dependable grassroots mobiliser.
